She originally became a registered OB/Gyn sonographer in 1994 and re-took her boards again in 2007. She is currently a practicing lactation consultant, sonographer, and registered nurse at The Women's Health Care Group in Overland Park and Lawrence, Kansas. She was an OB/GYN office nursing department manager from 1991-2008. All of these areas lead to her passion for working with breastfeeding families. She became a board certified lactation consultant in 1998. She has been providing lactation services (classes, counseling, support, consultations and products) since 1997. Her two breastfed children are now grown and will hopefully one day start a breastfeeding family of their own! Breastfed is her independently owned and operated practice. It is highly supported and encouraged by The Women’s Healthcare Group. |
