Kim has over 25 years OB/Gyn experience including:

Lactation Services: Consultation, Counseling and Class Instruction
She began her Mother Baby Service career in 1986 as a labor and delivery nurse for 5 years at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, KS. She then continued it in the position of Nurse Department Manager from 1991-2008 in OB/GYN offices.
She originally became a registered OB/Gyn sonographer in 1994 and re-took her boards again in 2007 in order to accept a full time sonography position. She is currently a practicing lactation consultant, sonographer, and registered nurse at The Women's Health Care Group in Overland Park and Lawrence, Kansas.
All of these experiences including personally struggling with successful breastfeeding without support lead to her passion for working with breastfeeding families. She became a board certified lactation consultant in 1998. She has been providing lactation services (classes, counseling, support, consultations and products) since 1997.
Her two breastfed children (Sasha and Ben) are now grown and starting breastfeeding families of their own!

She credits her parents for instilling the drive and desire to enjoy the work she does in helping families and the tenacity to not give up. She is very grateful for her husband who puts up with the sometimes crazy, demanding hours and is always ready to cook a delicious meal for them to share. :-)
